Do I have to be enrolled at OU?

No! 405 Tutoring can assist students regardless of what university you are attending. If you are at another university, we need to see a syllabus for your course to know which concepts your instructor covers and then we can take it from there! Nearly all of tutoring for OU students occurs in person, however remote option is available at request. If you are enrolled in another university, we offer remote tutoring with flexible times! Preston has tutored students all across the US.

Can you tutor for any class?

Preston specializes in college-level business courses but if Preston cannot personally help you, he can recommend another tutor that can. 405 Tutoring provides tutoring in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Business Finance, Economics, Calculus, and Statistics. Other classes may be tutored upon request.

How do I get started?

Contact Preston at 405-204-7222 or click “Contact Us” on the top left or bottom of the website. We can also be reached via email at 405tutoring@gmail.com. Let Preston know which class and professor you have and he will work with your schedule to find times for tutoring that work for you.

Should I do private or group tutoring?

We recommend that students first attend group sessions (most popular option) and use private sessions only if needed. Group sessions are often beneficial because students can hear questions and perspectives from other students that help make a concept “click”. Group tutoring is our most popular option with students also attending “Exam Review Sessions” to prepare for their upcoming test. Private session spots are available in limited quantities to help students with especially tricky concepts.

Where and how often do students meet?

405 Tutoring has a physical office near campus corner in Norman, Oklahoma but also offers tutoring via Zoom to accommodate students regardless of geographic location. Students typically meet on a weekly basis and are off most test weeks and university holidays. Preston offers flexible times to accommodate your schedule.

Who will be my tutor?

405 Tutoring never outsources tutoring, Preston tutors every single session to make sure students are receiving the highest quality from a knowledgeable and reputable source. Preston has taken all of these classes himself!

How do students pay for a session(s)?

We are flexible and accommodate most payment methods. Venmo, Zelle, cash, and check are the most commonly used payment methods.

Discounts and other incentives?

Referral Discount: 405 Tutoring offers a discount when friends refer friends! When you refer a new student and they attend a session you will get $30 off your next tutoring session.

Double Class Discount: Since Preston tutors multiple business classes, students often take 2 courses that Preston tutors for (e.g. Managerial Accounting and Business Finance). Students that sign up by the end of week 2 of the current semester are eligible for the “double class discount”.

Miscellaneous: Various other promotions may be provided during the semester and will be announced to all students!
